Buttonholes
This method is easy and works well for small buttons.
📍 At the buttonhole position, bind off the number of stitches needed for the button size. To do this, slip a stitch from the left needle to the right needle, then pass the outermost left stitch over the next stitch. Repeat this 2 more times. Slip the last remaining stitch back onto the left needle.
📍 Cast on one more stitch onto the right needle than the number you bound off. That is, if you bound off 3 stitches, as in my example, cast on 4 stitches.
📍 Slip the last cast-on stitch onto the left needle and knit it together with the next stitch through the back loop.
