Kazka Cardigan Knitting Pattern
“Kazka” cardigan is worked from the neck down completely seamless.
The circular yoke features a freeform cable pattern, which echoes in the side lace inserts creating the A-line shape of the garment.
The pattern contains instructions for any sleeve length and any length of the garment itself.
Sizes available:
kids: 12 mos; 18 – 24 mos; 3 yrs (4 yrs; 5 yrs; 6 – 7 yrs) (8 – 9 yrs; 10 – 12 yrs; 12 – 14 yrs)
adults: 32 (34; 36; 38) (40; 42; 44) (46; 48; 50) (52; 54; 56) (58; 60; 62)
Needles and Materials:
– yarn ITO KINU – 100% silk (425 m – 50 g 465 yds – 1.75 oz) – 1 strand – Yarn 1
and ITO Sensai – 60% mohair, 18% cotton, 40% silk (240 m – 20 g 262 yds – 0.71 oz) – 1 strand – Yarn 2;
– circular knitting needles 2.5 and 3 mm US1.5 and US2.5
or other appropriate size to obtain gauge;
– stitch markers;
– stitch holder, spare circular, extra cords or a piece of auxiliary yarn;
– tapestry needle;
– buttons, 12 –15 mm 0.5 –0.6 in diameter (shown with 6 buttons).
Gauge:
20 sts and 30 rows/rounds = 10×10 cm 4×4 in, in stockinette stitch, on 3.0 mm US2.5 needles, after blocking.
