Lady Gudobele Knitting Pattern
The Lady Gudobele ladies’ tunic is worked from the bottom up to the armhole in one piece in the round, from where on it is continued in back-and-forth rows. At armhole level, work is divided, and front and back are worked separately, then shoulders are joined using the three-needle bind-off method.
You will need:
– yarn SIŪLAS Lithuanian Linen 3 ply (100% linen; 100 g – 600 m [3.5 oz – 656 yds]), yarn held double;
– knitting needles 2.75 and 2.5 mm [US2 and US1½]
or other size to obtain gauge;
– 3; 3; 3 (4; 4; 4) (5; 5; 5) buttons of 1 cm [0.4 in] diameter (if desired);
– stitch markers;
– stitch holder or piece of auxiliary yarn, tapestry needle;
– auxiliary needle.
Gauge:
22 sts and 36 rows/rounds = 10×10 cm [4×4 in], in stockinette stitch, using 2.75 mm [US2] needles, after blocking.
